Spring has sprung. The flowers are blooming. The days are warmer and we are creating some great art in the art room.
Students have been asked to name the bus. A special bus that will bring food and books during the summer to Ark. City.

Our kindergarteners will be making Torn Paper Wreaths.
My first graders will be making Santa’s Belt.
Second Graders will create Santa coming down the chimney.
Third graders will design 3D Wreaths.
Fourth Graders will be making Collage Foxes in the Snow.
Fifth Graders will create Rangolis.
When students come to the art room they are expected to have their art boxes with their supplies; including markers, crayons, pencils and glue.
Kinders will be studying ladybugs.
First Graders are making school busses.
Second Graders will be learning about perspective.
Third Grade classes will be making dragon's tails.
Fourth Graders will be creating horse collages.
Fifth Graders will be making sports pennants.
We will be studying landscapes: pictures of land.

My name is Mrs. Danice Sweet
I was born and raised here in Arkansas City, Kansas.
I teach at three elementary schools a week. Approximately 640 students are in my classes.
I have two great nephews who I enjoy swimming and painting with.
We're going to be creating some great art this year.
Our theme at Adams this year is Characters from a book. Mrs. T, the music teacher and I chose Dr. Suess.
I have traveled around the world with my a capella Christian music group called Revival, for the last 25 years. We've sung, and I've painted from Alaska to the Philipines and to the Ukraine twice.
My husband Chet Sweet & I went to Woolarock in Bartlesville, OKI am a author and illustrator.
