Meet Ms. Swanson/5^th Grade!

       I was born and raised in the small town of Oxford, Kansas. I graduated High School at Oxford in 2011 and currently reside there with my fiancé. My last name is about to change because I am engaged to be married November 12, 2016. My new name will be Mrs. Kollmeyer! I have 2 dogs and their names are Hank and Four! I’m an athlete by heart and I had the privilege to continue my softball career after high school. I started out at Northern Oklahoma College for two years while earning my associate’s degree. After Northern, I transferred to Newman University to finish my college softball career and earn my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I love being in the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, trapping, farming, running, and anything that involves being outside.

      This will be my first year teaching at Adam’s Elementary and I am excited for the new school year as I will be teaching the 5^th grade. I can’t wait to meet my students and create memories and relationships that’ll last forever.  

   One of my biggest passions is striving to become better every day. I push myself to become a better teacher and person every day. I want to encourage my students to better themselves by setting goals to strive for. Strive to be better than you were the day before.
